Learn the secrets of the stars in a historic building with its own stories to tell! Join Explorer Chick for our exclusive Cincinnati Observatory astronomy workshops, hosted by Dean Regas. Dean is an astronomer, public speaker, television host and author of 100 Things to See in the Night Sky.

“The Marvelous Moon” Astronomy Workshop

In this workshop, explore our nearest neighbor in space: the moon. We will discuss moon missions, phases, features, and eclipses and then look at the moon up close through telescopes.

The Fall Sky
November 11, 2020

The fall months are the perfect time to slow down, kick back, and take in the stars. This class will teach you how to identify the major stars and constellations of the season.

Adventure Highlights

  • Led by Astronomer Dean Regas, and author of 100 Things to See in the Night Sky
  • You will learn how to identify stars, constellations, and planets as well as viewing tips for the moon.
  • Small group hands-on class in the iconic Cincinnati Observatory.
  • Weather permitting, each night includes viewing through the historic telescopes.
  • Exclusive and private Explorer Chick, women-only event. Enjoy more fun SHE-nanigans with an encouraging and supportive group of Bold women!

Payment Policy

Payment is required at booking.

If your Multi-Day Trip requires a Deposit:

The stated deposit is due at the time of booking.The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. You will have the option to pay the deposit or the entire balance at booking.

You will receive automatic payment reminders with a payment link leading up to your adventure. This link will only allow you to pay the entire remaining balance due.

To make smaller payments than remaining balance due – Please send an email to: Payments@ExplorerChick.com

Please include your Order Number, Name, Trip, Dates, and Amount you wish to pay. We will run the card used at booking and send you a confirmation by email. Please allow up to 2 business days for us to process.

 

The entire balance of your trip is due as stated below based on the duration of your trip. 

4 or Fewer Days 90 Days prior to arrival
5 or More Days 120 Days prior to arrival

Failure to pay balance in full by balance due date will result in automatic removal from trip without refund. 

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Multi-Day Adventures

Explorer Chick wants nothing more than for you to escape on one of our adventures. However, we understand emergencies do occur that may cause you to cancel your reservation. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Refunds will be given as outlined below based on days prior to trip arrival and length of trip.

Full less Non-Refundable Deposit 91 + Days 121 + Days
50% less the Non-Refundable Deposit 90 – 61 Days 120 – 61 Days
No Refund 60 Days or less 60 Days or less

No exceptions will be granted to our Cancellation policy.

*We reserve the right to cancel trips with inadequate participant attendance, in which case all money paid to Explorer Chick Adventure Co, Inc will be fully refunded. Explorer Chick Adventure Co, Inc. CANNOT be held responsible for any personal expenses, such as airline tickets due to changes in itineraries or tour cancellations.

 

Can I transfer my trip? 

Explorer Chick will transfer 100% of funds paid including the Non-Refundable deposit if transfer is made outside of our cancellation policy. Transfer can be made to any scheduled tour.

Our normal cancellation policy is in place for all other transfer requests.

 

*Explorer Chick reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a tour participant should such person’s behavior, health or mental condition impede the operation of the trip.

*Explorer Chick reserves the option to modify trip itineraries at the discretion of your tour director as necessary due to weather, conditions, illness, injury, group dynamics, safety, or other unforeseen incidents.
