Enjoy this half-day trip meandering through the beautiful Anne Springs Close Greenway nature preserve, atop a gentle giant. (Hey, baby steps. You can work up to that hair-whipping plains gallop!)

A Guided Horse Trail Ride for Beginners

Start out your day meeting at the Anne Springs Close Greenway horse barn. There, introduce yourself to your new larger-than-life riding buddy. No need to know how to saddle up your steed. All horses will be properly saddled by the professionals and ready to go! Fortunately (or unfortunately), this means no comic relief watching a too-loose saddle slowly slipping and resting upside-down on your horse’s belly.

Learn basic commands and how to navigate your horse

Our guides will assist in the first lesson of the day: mounting the horse! Left foot in the stirrups, grab that saddle horn, and up and over you go! From your new commanding view sitting tall and pretty, off into the woods you go! Along the way, learn all the basic verbal commands and how to use your legs to navigate down the trail. Yep! Your horse is listening to your words and can even hear the emotion in your voice. Spend the next two hours exploring the trails from a whole new perspective.

Weather Cancellation Protocols

  • You will be notified 2 hours prior to the event start if cancellation is needed.
  • This event cannot take place during thunder and lightning conditions.
  • A delayed start will take place prior to a full cancellation if possible.
  • If a delayed start is not an option and the event gets canceled due to severe weather, you will be fully refunded.

Payment Policy

Payment is required at booking.

If your Multi-Day Trip requires a Deposit:

The stated deposit is due at the time of booking.The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. You will have the option to pay the deposit or the entire balance at booking.

You will receive automatic payment reminders with a payment link leading up to your adventure. This link will only allow you to pay the entire remaining balance due.

To make smaller payments than remaining balance due – Please send an email to: Payments@ExplorerChick.com

Please include your Order Number, Name, Trip, Dates, and Amount you wish to pay. We will run the card used at booking and send you a confirmation by email. Please allow up to 2 business days for us to process.

 

The entire balance of your trip is due as stated below based on the duration of your trip. 

4 or Fewer Days 90 Days prior to arrival
5 or More Days 120 Days prior to arrival

Failure to pay balance in full by balance due date will result in automatic removal from trip without refund. 

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Multi-Day Adventures

Explorer Chick wants nothing more than for you to escape on one of our adventures. However, we understand emergencies do occur that may cause you to cancel your reservation. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE.

Refunds will be given as outlined below based on days prior to trip arrival and length of trip.

50% less the Non-Refundable Deposit 90 – 61 Days 120 – 61 Days
No Refund 60 Days or less 60 Days or less

No exceptions will be granted to our Cancellation policy.

*We reserve the right to cancel trips with inadequate participant attendance, in which case all money paid to Explorer Chick Adventure Co, Inc will be fully refunded. Explorer Chick Adventure Co, Inc. CANNOT be held responsible for any personal expenses, such as airline tickets due to changes in itineraries or tour cancellations.

 

Can I transfer my trip? 

Explorer Chick will transfer 100% of funds paid including the Non-Refundable deposit if transfer is made outside of our cancellation policy. Transfer can be made to any scheduled tour.

Our normal cancellation policy is in place for all other transfer requests.

 

*Explorer Chick reserves the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a tour participant should such person’s behavior, health or mental condition impede the operation of the trip.
