Who the Jetboil MiniMo Cooking System Is For

The MiniMo cooking system combines Jetboil’s tried-and-true efficiency and versatility with a convenient form factor. It includes four components: a fuel canister, a burner, a stove, and a fuel canister stabilizer and works with the Jetboils JetPower Fuel Canister.

All of these integratable components make up a super-convenient cooking system that is perfect for backpackers, hikers, campers, and outdoor enthusiasts that require a lightweight and portable stove that prepares meals in no time at all.

Jetboil MiniMo Key Features

The Jetboil MiniMo is sure to make your next adventure even more enjoyable with these convenient features.

Convenient Push Button Igniter

No more fumbling with lighters. Simply make use of the MiniMo’s reliable push-button igniter and enjoy the consistent performance at freezing temperatures as low as 20 degrees F or -6 degrees C. As long you can find a relatively sheltered spot to place this stove, we’ve found the MiniMo has no problems igniting in bitterly cold weather – even while snowing out.

Incremental Heat Adjustments

No more guesswork. Jetboil’s proprietary regulator technology and enhanced regulator diaphragm deliver incrementally precise heat adjustments, so you can always cook just the way you want. With a quick turn of a handle, the MiniMo’s simmer control offers incremental heat adjustments from a light simmer to a full boil – perfect for freeze-dried meals, hot beverages, or simply boiling water.

FluxRing Cooking Cup

Featuring FluxRing technology, the redesigned FluxRing Cooking Cup and its conveniently placed sturdy metal handles are perfect for both cooking and eating. This allows campers to hold and cook their meals in the same pot without having to transfer their food from one container to another. We’ve found this feature both saves on cleaning up time and the number of trips to a nearby stream for dishwashing water.

FluxRing Cooking Cup Lid

The Jetboil MiniMo lid’s pour spout is great for both pouring and sipping a well-deserved cup of soup or a nice warm cup of hot chocolate. Simply fit the lid on top of the FluxRing Cooking Pot and protect yourself from scalding your mouth on the cup’s metal rim.

And on the opposite side of the pour spout, the mouthpiece also features a convenient colander-like set of holes that make pouring excess water off food items like noodles or pasta very easy.

Pot Support and Fuel Canister Stabilizer

Camping on unsteady ground can be challenging, but the MiniMo Pot Support and Fuel Canister Stabilizer certainly helps. The stabilizer keeps your pot stable, even on uneven ground like rocks or sand.

It also holds your fuel canister in place with a sturdy, adjustable grip. And even allows campers to find an optimized height that’s perfect for making great-tasting meals.

Fuel Efficiency

The MiniMo reaches a rolling boil in just over two minutes with a fraction of the fuel consumption you’d expect from a traditional cooking system.

Thanks to the maximum efficiency of JetPower Jetboil Fuel that pushes the MiniMo up to 6000 BTU/h, the stove combines a unique burner with a single-burner pot, resulting in the fastest boil times and one of the highest fuel efficiencies on the market.

Warranty Info

Jetboil stoves and compatible accessories come with a limited 1-year warranty. Should any of Jetboil’s integrated stove systems or any other of their products fail because of manufacturing failure, Jetboil will either repair or replace the item at their discretion and return it to you free of charge.

Notably, Jetboil states their limited warranty does not cover “any damage or malfunction arising from misuse, modification, improper maintenance, negligence, normal wear and tear, accident, or use other than as described in these instructions.”

FAQs

How many times can you use a Jetboil?

Jetboil integrated stove systems make between 22-24 meals or boil up to 12 liters of water per 100 grams of JetPower Fuel. Unlike many other cooking systems, Jetboil’s unbeatable simmer control allows campers to regulate just how much fuel is being spent – limiting fuel consumption and allowing incremental heat adjustments.

What size fuel canister fits in Jetboil MiniMo?

The Jetboil MiniMo fits both the 100-gram and 230-gram JetPower Fuel canisters. Although, unfortunately, campers are best sticking with the 100-gram isobutane canisters as the 230-gram canister won’t leave adequate room for the stove to be fit to the system.

Which color Jetboil MiniMo should I get?

We get it, the Jetboil MiniMo comes in some sweet-looking designs that can make it hard to choose – so we didn’t. We use all 4 unique designs when taking groups onto the trails. Although if we had to choose, our favorite would have to be the Sunset.

The Sunset features bright orange and red hues that we find makes the stove very easy to spot in the forest floors or desert sands – particularly if you’ve wandered off while preparing a meal or beverage and are returning to your cooking spot.

Final Thoughts

The Jetboil MiniMo is one of the most efficient ways to cook in the backcountry, and the convenience of a two-piece system is definitely one of its best features.

We also love the Jetboil MiniMo because it’s super convenient and fuel-efficient compared to other cooking system alternatives. We’ve used our Jetboil MiniMo in the Red River Gorge and it’s cooked us a countless number of super-tasty meals and brewed many spirit-lifting coffees without a single word of complaint.
