I’ve teamed up with Explorer Chick to giveaway a spot on their 5th annual West Virginia Wild Weekend!
Explorer Chick Wild is an inspiring weekend in West Virginia dedicated to that inner “wild” residing in all women! You’ll gather with dozens of rad chicks for a packaged up trip with mountaintop camping, whitewater rafting, inspiring keynote speakers, and loads of ala carte adventures you can customize in one women-only weekend in the New River Gorge, West Virginia. Oh, and you can expect the signature Explorer Chick SHE-nanigans!
Nervous about whitewater rafting? ME TOO! Never been whitewater rafting? GREAT! New to camping? Fantastic!
Wild is geared towards ALL women – whether you’ve never set up a tent in your life or can pop up camp faster than a pit crew. And guess what? If you’re a newb to rafting, you’ll be surrounded by an overly supportive sisterhood of other new rafters and seasoned rafters. Plus, Explorer Chick Guides will be around all weekend to help you with tent set up, what to wear rafting, or any other questions that pop up.
Dying to go, but can’t think of single friend who would dare to run the river? A majority of Explorer Chick travelers show up solo and return home with a bunch of new friend requests on the Facebook. Explorer Chick takes away the awkwardness with plenty of activities throughout the weekend to help you make new friends.
Be advised: The women you grin at upon setting up camp will be belting out Total Eclipse of the Heart with you by nightfall.
What’s in store for Wild?
Thursday: Check-ins, camp setup, Explorer Chick Wild Welcome Dinner. Hear me talk!
Friday:
- FREE DAY! You have the option of adding Half Day and Full Day guided adventures, including rock climbing, kayaking, SUP, boating, caving, and ziplining.
- By nightfall, we’ll clink glasses of wine and share a meal around an inspiring Outdoor Woman Talk.
Past speakers include: Stacy Kozel, Sophia Danenberg, and Heather “Anish” Anderson.
Saturday:
- RAFT DAY. You and your fellow Explorer Chicks will spend the day mastering STAGE 5 RAPIDS on the Lower New River.
- We’ll enjoy a final meal Saturday evening with the finest entertainment on earth – a whitewater rafting video, STARRING YOU.
Sunday: Departure day. We’ll pack up camp, share hugs and aggressively follow one another on social media.
All weekend:
- You’ll have full access to the Wonderland Water Park on the camping property, WHICH INCLUDES A BLOB.
- Each night will close with a roaring campfire, complete with s’mores, box wine, and sisterly shares.
